Federation to hold 2017 Jewish Film Fest in fall

The Jewish Federation of Greater Binghamton has announced that this year’s Jewish Film Fest will feature five titles across five Sundays, September 10-October 8, at the Jewish Community Center, 500 Clubhouse Rd., Vestal.

This year’s annual Pauline and Philip M. Piaker Memorial Lecture will be held on Thursday, September 7, at 7:30 pm, at the Chabad Center, 420 Murray Hill Rd., Vestal. Jay Beilis, a Bronx native and grandson of Mendel Beilis, will discuss “Blood Libel: the Life and Memory of Mendel Beilis.”

Book review: Jewish mysteries – liberal and Chasidic
